Join Big Mouth Theatre as a Part-Time Drama Coach today!

At Big Mouth Theatre, we’re all about nurturing happy, healthy lives through the power of drama. By removing the competitive elements of the theatre arts, we’re able to enthuse and inspire through our fun and engaging community, resulting in more confident and connected young people.

What We’re Looking For:

• Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for drama and working with children.

• A flair for creativity and leading engaging sessions independently.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with the children and their families.

• A child-enhanced DBS Certificate (which the successful candidate can obtain later on in the process if required).

• Previous experience in drama education or performance is a bonus, but not essential.

• Drivers preferable, but again, not essential!

What Our Coaches Do:

• Lead engaging, structured drama sessions independently during after school hours.

• Follow Big Mouth Theatre safeguarding rules and procedures.

• Communicate effectively with the children and their families.

• Display both knowledge and understanding of child protection, equality and diversity and a commitment to treating all children as individuals and with equal concern and respect.

• Remain professional, courteous, warm, and consistent at all times.

• Invoice us for their coaching time as per freelance work.

What Our Coaches Get:

• Full training and on-going support.

• In-house pre-written club suggestions (no need for session-planning!)

• Competitive hourly pay dependent on experience/qualifications.

• Potential for opportunities for further work at our holiday drama camps and Saturday program productions in local theatres!
